Many thanks to the three choirs at St. John’s, Adult, Chant Schola, and Children’s Choir, for their wonderful singing and faithful, dedicated fine work through the year.  It’s been a great year and we are all so thankful for the wonderful support of the music program here.

The Adult Choir and Chant Schola were recently honored by being invited by the Archdiocesan Office of Marriage and Family Life to provide music for Holy Mass at the River Conference, Saturday, July 29, 2000 at 4:30 p.m. at the St. Mary’s chapel on the St. Paul Seminary campus. Bishop Dudley will be the celebrant. This conference is a national meeting of all natural family planning methods with the medical and theological communities. All are invited to attend this Mass.

Plans are in the works for a fall jubilee year dedication program and concert here at St. John’s. The new lighting, new organ, and recently remodeled choir loft will be blessed and dedicated. Details are forthcoming.

This Christmas, Jubilee 2000, “A Classical Christmas” will be presented at St. John’s.  This is the third in a series highlighting sacred Christmas music from the various eras of music history.
