Hello Everyone,

I just received this message from Father Byron:

"I still have not had any direct communication with any potential buyer of the St. John's property, so although I have the name of the group I do not know entirely what are their intentions for the use of the place.

It seems, though, that the more I've tried to be open in communicating what's going on over there the more the response has been to attract a somewhat hostile crowd of folks who have been badgering both our maintenance men and the workers on site. If you have occasion to be in touch with such folks, please inform them that they are unwelcome at the site, which is an active construction site. We have also had folks dumpster diving and presuming to enter and roam around the buildings, claiming falsely to have some sort of legitimate business there. If there are people who wish to address concerns, they may call me directly. They may also consult the St. Pascal's bulletin this weekend, in which I have tried to lay out the situation about the furnishings as they exist so far. I have not requested police surveillance of the place (though the police have offered to do that), but I will do so if the parade of people does not stop."

Father Byron is correct. That is private property and we have no right to be in there. I've always asked before entering and never represented myself as anything other than a former parishioner. I don't know if other people have been more aggressive or who they might be. I doubt if it is any of this group.

Obviously we can still be out on the street so if anything else is removed we can watch that but the inside and the dumpster are out of bounds. Spread the word.
