Hi All,
I think once again not everyone is being copied on everything. Here is the best I can do on some of your recent questions.
I'm not sure anymore as to who wanted what with respect to confessionals. The dumpster is gone so anyone who wanted to get confessional parts out of it is too late. For obvious reasons I couldn't go inside today but from what I heard, there isn't much left in there. Father Baer would have to check with Father Byron.
What I was told was the stained glass windows themselves could stay but the religious symbols (see photo) in the circles in the middle of each one would have to be removed, one way or another. Also the windows in the sacristies that are totally religious symbolism would also have to be removed. I have photos of all the windows so they won't be lost forever. I'll get around to posting them eventually.

I assume the cornerstone (see photo) would have to go but I don't know if it can be easily removed. My question is whether there might be a time capsule behind it. I've never heard there was one but there often times is. That would be a real treasure if it exists and we wouldn't want to lose it.

Thank you, Greg and all, for updates regarding this very distressing business. I’m most sorry for Fr. Welzbacher’s dismay and upset. He needs our prayer support as he weathers this blow (and as he faces his upcoming surgery). Frankly, I think it will be a great balm to him (and for all of us) if we all use this to strengthen our resolve to bear good fruit, wherever we now find ourselves. I can’t see any other way to come out of this as winners.
We are grateful to everyone who has rescued bits and pieces of the church and for all of you who have been mindful of the need to take photos! We never think to do so, but we’re thankful for you who always have a camera at the ready.

What about the altar rail? All Saints has not picked it up yet as the priests have been on retreat all week. What will be the fate of the windows and the big light that hung over the main altar?

Thanks for the update Chuck, never seems to be any good news, from the very start
that we were told it was closing. Missing seeing all our friends at St John's but knowing
we have to move on, like Deb said "take our goodness & friendship and spread it around"
Wonder what Fr Mike is planning when as is done? I like him he seems very and this has
really been a burden on him and some of his parishioners. I'm sure he'll be glad when it's
finished......I'm assuming the sale is for the Property complete.....church, school & rectory - correct?
